June saw the Cypher team jetting off to sunny Rome for this year’s Global Financial Services Tax Leaders Meeting, hosted at the stunning Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

The Financial Services Tax Leaders Meeting is one of our larger events, featuring a main plenary room and four large, kitted breakout rooms.

The Plenary

The plenary room design combined an architectural set, presenter access, integrated foliage and a multi-screen LED canvas to create a clean, modern look tailored to our clients brand. 

Content, cameras and presentation sources were driven through a robust Blackmagic 4 M/E Constellation switcher. In addition to this we provided a 4 camera PTZ package + controller, a 3 camera operated package, for anything going to screen, clock/notes comfort monitors and stream-ready infrastructure for any last minute virtual requests. 

To guarantee clarity across the entire ballroom — both for spoken word and playback — we deployed a full Nexo system supported by Yamaha digital control. This consisted of a Yamaha CL3 digital desk, Yamaha Rio 32/24 stage box, Nexo Line Array system, additional Nexo ID24 and PS10 speakers throughout the room and a full 14-way radio mic package. We also implemented show-wide comms for stage management, backstage monitoring, and cueing.

Lighting was provided through a hybrid of Cypher-supplied fixtures and extensive in-house rigging. To achieve our vision, we used an Avolites Tiger Touch 2 control with x24 Astera Titan Tubes, some Chauvet Hex washes and a couple of COLORado PXL Curves for some funky walk-on effects. This was all then enhanced with some more locally sourced lighting. 

Breakout Rooms

In addition to the main plenary, Cypher Media supported workshops across four distinct spaces. Each room was furnished with bespoke staging, audio systems, presentation technology and remote-connection capability. Additionally, each room featured a custom printed backdrop with a built in projection screen, perfect for presentations.
