We've been debating purchasing new laptops for a while now, after newer windows updates some laptops can become slow, and worn, we do keep on top of this by running regular update cycles and troubleshooting any issues, but we thought it was time for some newer machines. When we're working on conferences, we regularly provide our own Acer or HP laptops that the speakers and delegates use for their sessions, however, many firms are now moving towards Lenovo ThinkPads, so we thought, why don't we? This way the delegates are using machines they feel comfortable with, and that they use every day; it was a no-brainer for us.
Why the upgrade? As we said previously, through rigorous updating, the newer versions of Windows 10 can make our older machines feel sluggish, although we don't require powerful machines for what they're used for onsite, we like to provide the best affordable solution for all situations. It goes without saying that regularly upgrading kit and keeping on top of trends is beneficial to staying one step ahead of your competition, with increased productivity, security, communications and a better experience for all parties involved, it's always good to remove things that can become a liability and slow processes down; newer kit also means less downtime, mitigating time-related risks.
