We've recently made the leap and upgraded our trusty wide camera. Find out why we opted to purchase our new Sony PXW-190.
While still a part of our arsenal, this wasn't a decision we took lightly! The Sony PXW-Z150 has been an integral part of our kit since 2016. It's a reliable piece of kit that met our clients needs effortlessly. That's just one of many reasons we were not able to part ways with it permanantly.
Why the PXW-Z190?
As our projects grew in both complexity and demand, we knew it was time to step up our game. The Z190 is a direct upgrade from its predecessor meaning there is much similarity between the two cameras. With both our in-house video team and trusted freelancers using the 150 over the years, the 190 wouldn't be much of a learning curve.
The PXW-Z190 offers even more colours and details, thanks to the uprated sensor. In turn this means sharper and more true to life footage, even in low light. The Z190 can record in 4k at a higher frame rate which also results in smoother and more detailed video, ideal for the high-definition screens of today.
A huge advantage of the PXW-Z190 is the much-improved autofocus system it has to offer. Whilst being as small and portable as its predecessor, the Z190 was built with longevity in mind. Built to be more durable
We’re excited to see how this new camera will help us continue to produce stunning visuals in the future.
